Packaging:     Acetylated LDL is membrane filtered and aseptically packaged in a solution

               containing phosphate-buffered saline at pH 7.4 and 0.01 μM EDTA.

Preparation:  Thanbio Human LDL(Cat. No. TBP1) (which was purified to homogeneity via ultra-centrifugation(1.019-1.063g/cc)) is is acetylated with acetic anhydride and dialyzed. It is ultrafiltered through a membrane and packaged aseptically under nitrogen. Each lot is analyzed on agarose gel electrophoresis for migration versus LDL. This lot of OxLDL migrates 1.8fold further than the native LDL.

Storage &                

Stability:         This product is stable for 6 weeks when handled aseptically and stored at

               2-8°C.  NEVER FREEZE.

*Special Note:    After prolonged storage, some precipitate may be observed.  This is normal for this product. Clarify out the aggregates by spinning in a microfuge for 2 minutes.

Biological       Sample lots of Thanbio Acetylated LDL are evaluated for receptor binding to

Activity:          peritoneal macrophages in conjunction with our DiI-Ac-LDL and Ac-LDL.

                                *Preparations of Acetylated LDL are fairly unstable; plan your experiments in advance and use fresh material.
